Introduction to Basic Electronics

Getting started with basic electronics is easier than you might think. This Instructable will hopefully demystify the basics of electronics so that anyone with an interest in building circuits can hit the ground running. This is a quick overview into practical electronics and it is not my goal to delve deeply into the science of electrical engineering. By the end of this Instructable, anyone with an interest to learn basic electronics should be able to read a schematic and build a circuit using standard electronic components.

  2. What component(s)of an ac motor makes it a dc motor?

    1. The key component in an ac/dc converter is a rectifier bridge, typical made of 4 rectifying diodes. These let current pass more easily in one direction than the other. If the two ac input wires are connected by diodes pointing toward one of the outputs and away from the other output, then the sign of the voltage between the output leads won't switch back and forth.

    1. Many of us may fail to realize the important role that electronics play in our daily lives. In fact, the invention of such electronic gadgets has somehow made our lives easier. It is just that with us being very busy going through the day with a lot of things on our mind and with work to take care of, we often fail to take notice and appreciate how convenient everything has become because of these consumer electronic goods.
As more and more current inventions and electronic gadgets are flooding the market, each and everyone should learn to appreciate the convenience that these have offered to our daily lives. Who knows what they would think of next in the near future

  4. Why? electric charges do not exist without their associated electric and magnetic fields.

    1. IA moving charge always has both a magnetic and an electric field, and that’s precisely the reason why they are associated with each other. They are two different fields with nearly the same characteristics. Therefore, they are inter-related in a field called the electromagnetic field. In this field, the electric field and the magnetic field move at right angles to each other. However, they are not defendant on each other. They may also exist independently. Without the electric field, the magnetic field exists in permanent magnets and electric fields exist in the form of static electricity, in absence of the magnetic field.

  5. can i ask question maam, because manny of us is hard to make pcb design,
how can we make it in easy ways. And sir fernando tell us that it is not the permanent marker that we use in designing but the paper tape should be.

    1. I guess you have to analyze first the schematic diagram because it is easy to make a design if you know the flow of your circuit. As for your sentiment we cannot do something about it because it is Sir Fenando's decision, just make sure your design is correct before transferring it to the PCB.

  7. maam what is the different between PCB and Breadboard?and then why we need to use PCB instead of breadboardbto make it easy

    1. With a bread board you do not need to solder the components you can just place them in the holes and remove them as you please while in PCB you have to solder your components before you can test if its working. You can use either of the two in making your circuit it just that Sir Fernando introduce the PCB first before the breadboard. The circuit that you will make in the breadboard is also the circuit you will transfer in PCB later on.

  11. Why you said there are 10 types of people but you only differentiate 2?
By the way ma'am can you give us an idea on how to design circuit boards? Is there a pattern when designing boards?

    1. I guess you belong to the people who doesn't know binary , later on you will be able to understand the quotation..as for your question the only way to make a PCB design is to understand first the schematic diagram . You can create different design as long as you know the correct flow of your circuit. I guess you use the schematic diagram itself as a pattern because you can just simply remove the components and rearrange the connection.

    1. Just simply place your components to the breadboard. Connect them with the use of wires but before doing that you need to be knowledgeable to the connection of the breadboard which is actually posted on my blog.
